Placing a booking with Coral's Barn indicates that you have both read and accepted all of our Terms and Conditions.
Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of your holiday is required at the time of booking. The contract will be formed when the deposit has been paid and your cheque has cleared. Please make cheques payable to either C or H Theobald.
You will then be sent confirmation of the dates you have selected, the deposit you have paid, and the balance remaining.
The balance is due six weeks before your arrival. Should your booking be made within six weeks of your arrival date, the full cost of the holiday is due at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel if you do not pay the balance by the due date.
Once this confirmation has been sent to you, there exists a binding contract between the potential guest/s and Coral’s Barn. The balance is due, even if the guests do not visit, unless subject to force majeure.
In the event of a cancellation, the full balance is payable, unless we are able to re-let the property. Cancellations can be made by telephone, but must be confirmed in writing. We recommend that you obtain adequate cancellation insurance.
A list of all guests in your party is required prior to arrival.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of £250.00 is to be paid when your balance becomes due, or in the event of a late booking, with your full payment. This is fully refundable 48 hours after your departure, subject to no serious damage or excessive cleaning being required as a result of your visit.
Period of Hire
Unless otherwise notified, weekly bookings run from Friday to Friday.
Weekend (three day, Friday to Monday) short breaks and mid-week (four day, Monday to Friday) breaks may be taken, subject to availability, excluding Christmas, New Year and Half Term holidays. Weekend and mid-week breaks are priced identically during the same week.
On the day of arrival, rentals commence at 4.00 pm and departure is no later than 10.00 am.
Use of Property
Without exception, the property can only be used for personal and domestic purposes. The barn shall not be used for any commercial purpose without the written consent of Coral’s Barn.
Under no circumstances may Coral’s Barn be used to hold any type of organised party or gathering, including Stag or Hen parties.
Coral’s Barn reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if these conditions are not observed.
The number of persons occupying the barn must not exceed eight, as stipulated in the advertised details (excepting babies, where a cot will be provided on request). Should additional visitors, above eight, be found staying in the barn, they will be asked to leave.
However, the property dines above eight and guests are welcome to invite friends or relatives for a visit or meal.
Smoking
Smoking in Coral’s Barn is STRICTLY prohibited. We reserve the right to remove £100.00 from your security deposit, if we are unable to re-let the barn because it smells of smoke after your departure. This additional cleaning charge covers the cost of deep cleaning all fabrics and furnishings to re-present the barn as a non-smoking property for incoming guests.
Special Needs
We are pleased to accommodate less able visitors. The downstairs rooms, with the exception of the shower room, are all wheelchair accessible. Entry to the property has been thoughtfully planned to assist those needing use of wheelchairs. This comprises a gravel parking area, which abuts a covered decking veranda; from here, double French doors can be opened for easy chair access. We are pleased to discuss any requirements which you may have.
Right of Entry
Coral’s Barn will always respect visitors’ privacy, but reserves the right of entry at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repair or maintenance.
Items included in the hire of Coral’s Barn
The following items will be provided, free of charge:
One bath towel, hand towel and flannel per visitor; soap, shower gel; washing-up liquid, dishwashing powder, washing powder, kitchen towel and tea towel; toilet rolls. We realise that people like their own brand of shampoo and toothpaste, so this is not provided.
A stair gate, highchair, baby bath and cot, together with baby sheet, blanket and specially made baby cover are also provided when requested.
Care of the Property
The Client must take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
Although we do not expect visitors to deep clean on our behalf, chores such as your washing up must be completed before you leave.
Breakages or Damage
We reserve the right to charge for breakages of expensive items or for excessive cleaning costs.
Pets
No pets of any kind are allowed at Coral’s Barn, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
Liability
Coral’s Barn (for itself, its employees and agents) shall not be liable to Client or third parties for any accident, damage, loss, injury expense or inconvenience, which may be suffered, incurred, arise out of or in any way connected with the rental.
The owners or their agents cannot accept liability for any damage or loss to any property or possessions or personal accident sustained by you, your party members or any visitors and therefore advise all guests have full holiday insurance.
No term of the Contract is enforceable under the Contracts (Rights of The Third Parties) Act 1999 by a person who is not a party to the Contract. If Coral’s Barn becomes unavailable or unusable for some reason prior to the date of a booking, then the owners’ obligation will be to reimburse the Client for any monies paid.
Warranties
Coral’s Barn does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given or statements made by its employees or agents.
